Engineering: Fat Actress

This is that show... sort of.
Aping the Curb aesthetic, Fat Actress seeks to make a mockery of star/co-creator and writer Kirstie Alley's inverse success-to-weight-gain ratio in recent years. John Travolta pops up for the opening episode (in which "Kirstie" longs for a black "brother" to embrace her überbooty) and were it not for Be Cool, it would mark a new low for his pot-holing career. Other guest stars - whose as-themselves turns do little to distract you from the unfunny binge/purge self-loathing - include, wait for it, Kid Rock, Blossom's Mayim Bialik and Carmen Electra. Extras comprise deleted scenes and text biographies. Cheers? Not near.
BEST BIT Kirstie steals a sausage-dog from Blossom. Meh.

Can 'click to download' DVDs work?
If you bought a copy of the Cameron Diaz comedy What Happens In Vegas on DVD this week, I have two questions. Firstly: What were you thinking? It's rubbish! And, secondly, did you notice the little geek extra?

I bought some DVD-RWs, but my Windows Vista PC didn't work with them very well. My laptop manual recommends certain brands, but can a drive really be so sensitive?
