21st century athlete or cheat?
How much can an athlete depend on science (i.e. food supplements) and technology (i.e. special uniforms) before being considered a cheat? Victory and record-breaking performances are the goals of any top-level athlete, and many have been turning to scientific and technological advances in order to get that winning edge over the competition. Is this fair, however, or should they rely only on natural talent? Do you think richer countries are dominating the world of amateur sport due to their greater access to cutting-edge research?

Can technology help referees without affecting the game?
Recent refereeing controversies in the Premiership have reignited the debate over whether technology (such as video replays or goal-line sensors) should be used to assist in the decision-making process that could make or break a club’s season. However, can these developments be adopted without affecting the speed and immediacy of the world’s most popular sport? Where do you stand?
