Constants

  Name Euler's Constant
Euler-Mascheroni constant

  Symbol γ, C

  Value 0.57721566490153286061

  Category General Mathematical Constants

Comments   Euler's constant is defined as lim n Σ k = 1 n 1 k - ln n . So far Euler's constant has been calculated to more than a million decimal places, although it is still not known if it is transcendental or even irrational. It has been proven that if it is rational then its denominator is not smaller than 10244663.
