Equation

    Name

Fermi-Dirac Distribution Law

    Equation f ( ε ) = 1 exp [ ( ε - μ ) / k B T ] + 1

    Definition of terms

f(ε) is the population of the state with energy ε, μ is the Fermi level (??), kb is the Boltzmann constant, T is the temperature

    Comments

The Bose-Einstein distribution law gives the population of states with energies ε in a system of fermions (particles with half-integer spin).
