Equation

    Name Ampère's Law

    Equation
  function of B . d I = μ 0 I
  C

Definition of terms B = magnetic flux density, C is a closed curve, μ0= permeability of free space,
I
= current enclosed by C

Comments   Ampère's Law states the scalar product of the magnetic flux density and the infinitesimal element of the path C to be equal to the magnetic constant multiplied by the current enclosed by the curve C .
It was discovered by André-Marie Ampère (1775 - 1836), the French physicist who did much to found electrodynamics.
