Equation

Name Angular and Linear Velocity (motion in a circle)

    Equation v = ω r

    Definition of terms v = linear velocity, ω = angular velocity, r = radius

Comments   A body moving in circular motion, the radius of the motion being equal to r , with angular velocity ω, has a linear velocity v equal to the product of the angular velocity and the radius.
