Comments |
Consider a sector of a circle. Drawing a straight line between the ends of the arc marks of an area bounded by this straight line and the side of the circle. This is a segment.
The area of a segment is equal to the area of the sector less the area of the triangle created by the two radii and the straight side of the sector. |
