Do you care enough to not travel?
We are told time and time again that our tourism has a negative impact on the local environment. Do you believe this? Is eco-tourism a waste of time and money and merely a sop to our consciences?

Visiting Cruel Regimes?
What is your opinion on visiting cruel regimes? Does tourism contribute to the suffering of their citizens? Should we avoid Muslim countries that refuse to recognise equal rights to women and non-Muslims? Perhaps we should boycott China for crushing independence in Tibet? Alternatively should we really care - after all travelling in most basket case dictatorships is relatively cheap?
